Abstract
Cu(II) complexes with meso-HMPAO and d,l-HMPAO were synthesized and characterized using single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, FTIR spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, and mass spectrometry. The electrochemical data indicated that the complexes bind to DNA molecules, specifically through guanine. These findings suggest that the new compounds have significant potential for further investigation, particularly for their anticancer activity and as models for the development of radiopharmaceuticals with 64Cu.
