The photoionization of the L shell of lead (Pb, Z = 82) has been treated within the framework of the relativistic random-phase approximation (RRPA) in order to take into account electron correlations and relativistic effects. Calculations are performed in the energy region from 10 to 40 keV, what corresponds to ionization of the L-shell of Pb. We present results of calculations for total and partial cross sections together with photoelectron angular distribution anisotropy parameters of subshells. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd.
