In the characterization of solids, the most important area of interest is to define the state of surface, a market discontinuity from one material to another. The properties of material discontinuity and two-dimensional solids remained of academic interest until the development of vacuum equipment and new experimental technique made possible the molecular and atomic level investigation of surfaces. Advanced surfaces provide opportunities to develop new surface material and surface technology. The recent development of hyperfine surface structures clean surfaces, thin films and nanophase structures-opened up atomic/molecular studies of surface phenomena and new applications. In this paper, the main results obtained of surface structures, beam modification of surfaces as well as the implementation of solid surfaces with the deposited materials, obtained in Atomic Physics Laboratory are presented.en
