In X-ray diagnostics, a quantitative assessment of medical staff exposure is essential for radiation protection measures. A good knowledge of the space-energy distribution of scattered radiation around a patient is a necessary condition for this evaluation. Starting from the Compton single scattering model, the expressions for the space-energy distribution of scattered radiation have been derived and the ANGIO program developed (Marković, 1993). The calculated values are compared with detailed dosimetric measurements of the scattered radiation field around a patient (i.e., the water phantom) and with the results of Monte Carlo simulation.",
