AB  - Laboratorija za radioizotope Instituta Vinča je jedinstven centar u regionu koji poseduje Rešenja Ministarstva zdravlja Republike Srbije i Direktorata za radijacionu i nuklearnu sigurnost i bezbednost Srbije za proizvodnju radiofarmaceutika. Radiofarmaceutik koji se proizvodi više od 40 godina u Laboratoriji za radioizotope, a primenjuje u terapiji tumora štitaste žlezde, kao i hipertireozi su kapsule natrijum-jodida (I-131). Radijacioni efekti I-131 na ćelije štitaste žlezde potiču od beta-zračenja koje emituje I-131 tokom radioaktivnog raspada u samoj štitastoj žlezdi jer se I-131 nakon oralne primene nakuplja prvenstveno u štitastoj žlezdi u kojoj ima dugu retenciju. Za efikasnu terapiju, ali u isto vreme u cilju smanjenja izloženosti nepotrebnim dozama, za svakog pacijenta određuje se odgovarajuća doza I-131 koju je neophodno da primi, odnosno primenjuje se tzv. personalizovana terapija. U radu je opisan postupak proizvodnje kapsula I-131 u Laboratoriji za radioizotope putem manuelnog punjenja kapsula rastvorom I-131, kao i osnovni zahtevi koje je neophodno da sistem za automatsku proizvodnju radiofarmaceutika ispuni, a to su pre svih, odgovarajuća zaštita operatera od zračenja, jednostavna upotreba i kompjuterska kontrola.
AB  - The Laboratory for radioisotopes of the Vinča Institute is a unique center in the region with licences of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia and the Directorate for Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security of Serbia for the production of radiopharmaceuticals. Sodium iodide (I-131) capsules are radiopharmaceuticals that have been produced for more than 40 years in the Laboratory for Radioisotopes, and are used in the treatment of tumors of thyroid gland, as well as in hyperthyroidism. The radiation effects of I-131 on thyroid cells originate from beta-radiation emitted by I-131 during radioactive decay in the thyroid gland itself because I-131 after oral administration accumulates primarily in the thyroid gland where it has a long retention. For the effective therapy, but at the same time in order to reduce exposure to unnecessary high doses, the appropriate dose of I-131 is determined for each patient, in the so-called personalized therapy. The paper describes the current procedure for the production of I-131 capsules in the Laboratory for Radioisotopes by manually filling the capsules with I-131 solution and the basic requirements for design the system for automating the production of radiopharmaceuticals, which above all must provide adequate protection for the operator from radiation, must be user friendly and computer-controlled.

AB  - U procesu dobijanja fosforne kiseline, tehnološkim postupkom povećava se prisustvo
prirodne radioaktivnosti, stoga nekadašnji pogon za proizvodnju fosforne kiseline
predstavlja takozvano „istorijsko zagađenje”, i kao takav predstavlja potencijalnu
opasnost u smislu nepotrebnog izlaganja zračenju.
U okviru poslova dekontaminacije starog pogona izvršena je radiološka karakterizacija
postrojenja pre, tokom i nakon postupka dekontaminacije, koja je podrazumevala
uklanjanja samo nevezane kontaminacije sa svih površina i predmeta koji se nalaze u
postrojenju. Radiološka karakterizacije predstvalja osnov za određivanje adekvatnog
načina dekontaminacije, kao i za proveru njene efikasnosti. U radu su prikazani
rezultati nivoa radioaktivne kontaminacije površina i merenja jačine ambijentalnog
ekvivalenta doze gama zračenja na 15 cm od podloge.
AB  - In the process of the production of phosphoric acid, a technological process increases
the presence of natural radioactivity, therefore, the former plant for the production of
phosphoric acid, presents the so-called "historical pollution", and as such represents a
potential threat in terms of unnecessary exposure to radiation.
In the framework of the decontamination of the old plan, radiological characterization
of the plant was carried out before, during and after the decontamination process,
which involved the removal of a non-fixed contamination on all surfaces and objects
that have been found in the plant. Radiological characterization present the good base
for determining of adequate ways of decontamination, as well as to verify its
effectiveness. The paper presents the results of the level of radioactive contamination of
the surface and measurements of the intensity of ambient dose equivalent at 15 cm from
the surfaces.

AB  - У току реализације пројекта санације стања старих хангара Х1 и Х2 рађена је
карактеризација историјског отпада, са циљем да се окарактерисан отпад
пребаци у нови хангар Х3 или утврди, у неким случајевима, да су испуњени услови
за ослобађање од регулаторне контроле. Извршена је гамаспектрометријска
анализа узорака лишајева из хангара Х2 и представљени су добијени резултати
специфичне активности. Утврђено је да изорци лишајева имају специфичну
активност изнад прописаног нивоа, потребног за ослобађање од регулаторне
контроле.
AB  - During implementation of the project for decommissioning old hangars H1 and H2
characterization of historical radioactive waste was performed, in order to characterize
the waste before transfer into the new hangar H3 and to determine, in some cases,
whether the conditions for the release of regulatory control are fulfilled. Gamma
spectrometric analysis of lichen samples from the hangar H2 was performed and the
results of specific activity have been presented. It was found that lichens samples have a
specific activity above the prescribed levels, needed for the release from the regulatory
control

Enhanced microwave synthesis of polyaniline nanomaterials

AB  - Energy- and time-efficient enhanced microwave syntheses (EMS) of polyaniline (PANI) have been carried out. The GPC results showed that the molecular weight of the microwave-generated materials depends on the applied microwave power. FTIR spectroscopies confirmed the formation of PANI. The presence of a mixed morphology with the prevalence of nanofibers with different aspect ratios is confirmed through SEM. The conductivity of the samples (ca. 3-3.5 S cm-1) is found to be relatively independent on the microwave power levels. The fact that the molecular weight depends on the power means that this approach can be fine-tuned to optimize conditions for a specific material using different power levels.

AB  - High conducting polyaniline (PANI) nanofibres deposited onto glassy
carbon support were studied in sulphuric (1mol dm-3 H2SO4) and
hydrochloric (1mol dm-3 HCl) acid by both potentiodynamic and complex
impedance methods. A large charge storage capacity was obtained in each
of investigated acid solutions, particularly in HCl one. For instance, specific
capacity amounting to 340 Fg-1 was observed potentiodynamically in 1mol
dm-3 HCl at a scan rate of 10 mVs-1.
