AB  - In our work we presented the modified field equations generated by action of Weyl conformal gravity. Assuming static cylindric symmetry, we derived the corresponding Bach tensor and from field equation we find gravity potential. We solved geodesic equations in the case of conformal gravity potential. Also we consider precession perihelion of Solar planets and S stars.

Од тада је ова врста таласног кретања препозната на потпуно неочекиваним местима: од бескрајних пространстава универзума до молекуларног нивоа, чак и дубље, у структури самог простора и елементарних честица! У овом раду представићемо пример КдВ солитонских таласа тј. решење њене диференцијалне једначине.

AB  - Since the very beginning, Regional Center for Talents “Mihajlo Pupin” in Pančevo had a physics group. Over time, the number of classes has grown, but so did the number of students and mentors. Consequently, the achievements on national and even international competitions in physics were growing steadily. After first few years spent in experimenting different possibilities in the field of work with talented students in physics, the standard of classes has been established. Such standard, with the help of motivated students and mentors has produced a successful mechanism for preparing students for various challenges in the field of physics and beyond. This paper presents a model of working in the physics group in Regional Center for Talents “Mihajlo Pupin” in Pančevo, as well as the results our students have achieved on national and international physics and science competitions in the last 15 years of work.

AB  - Михајло Пупин је један од првих 15 чланова Њујоршког математичког друштва, из којег је 1894. године настало Америчко математичко друштво. Пупин је био образован математичар, што је у време његове младости, у Америци била реткост. Математику је примењивао у физици и електротехници, које су биле његова главна поља делатности. У раду ће бити представљено како се школовао и која су била његова постигнућа и активности у оба математичка друштва чији је био члан. Представљен је део његове дисертације, из 1889. године, који је и најранији писани документ у коме се препознаје његово познавање математике. Михајло Пупин је прва особа која је одржала предавање у част Џосаје Виларда Гибса у организацији Америчкоg математичкоg друштвa, фебруара 1924. године.

Estimating the Parameters of the Hybrid Palatini Gravity Model with the Schwarzschild Precession of S2, S38 and S55 Stars: Case of Bulk Mass Distribution

AB  - We estimate the parameters of the Hybrid Palatini gravity model with the Schwarzschild precession of S-stars, specifically of the S2, S38 and S55 stars. We also take into account the case of bulk mass distribution near the Galactic Center. We assume that the Schwarzschild orbital precession of mentioned S-stars is the same as in General Relativity (GR) in all studied cases. In 2020, the GRAVITY Collaboration detected the orbital precession of the S2 star around the supermassive black hole (SMBH) at the Galactic Center and showed that it is close to the GR prediction. The astronomical data analysis of S38 and S55 orbits showed that, also in these cases, the orbital precession is close to the GR prediction. Based on this observational fact, we evaluated the parameters of the Hybrid Palatini Gravity model with the Schwarzschild precession of the S2, S38 and S55 stars, and we estimated the range of parameters of the Hybrid Palatini gravity model for which the orbital precession is as in GR for all three stars. We also evaluated the parameters of the Hybrid Palatini Gravity model in the case of different values of bulk mass density distribution of extended matter. We believe that proposed method is a useful tool to evaluate parameters of the gravitational potential at the Galactic Center. © 2022 by the authors. Licensee MDPI, Basel, Switzerland.

Magnetic Hysteresis Loops Revisited: Step Closer to Understand the Role of Exterior Angles

AB  - The characterization of nanocomposite samples which contain Cu, Fe-species, prepared by the sol-gel method, was established by Nikolić et al., in a previous article (Nikolić et al. in Journal of Solid State Physics 513:1, 2021). In this study, the magnetic behavior of nanocomposite samples was examined. The basic parameters of the room- and low-temperature magnetic hysteresis loops are discussed. To better describe the shape of magnetic hysteresis loop, the authors proposed to consider additional parameters - measures of the exterior angles of the hysteresis curve. Behavior of hysteresis parameters and exterior angles, caused by annealing treatment, was investigated by measuring hysteresis loops at two measured temperatures: 298K, and 5K. Correlation between changes in the behavior of hysteresis parameters and exterior angles was discussed. Мада су те једначине добили и други, као што је Жорж Леметр (Georges Lemaitre), Фридман их је први добио и објавио 1922 године. Ове једначине се и данас користе за процене астрономских мерења.
AB  - In this paper, we presented the participation of Alexander Friedmann in the Big Bang Theory. He is known for his Friedmman equations which describe the dynamic cosmos, ie. it expands, shrinks, and becomes static in depends on curvature parameter k in FLRW metric. By the way, these equations are given also, by others, such as, for example, Georges Lemaitre. Friedmann have got first equations and published in 1922 year. These equations are used for assessment of astronomical measurements today.

He proposed model of cosmos which called “the Hypothesis of Primordial Atom” and later called it “the Begining of the World” or “the Cosmic Egg”.

AB  - У раду се дискутују основне информације о астероидима, до којих се дошло након њиховог скоријег открића (XIX век). Имајући у виду да је Србија у време открића првог астероида (1801) још увек била под турском влашћу (за време чије владавине се није придавала посебна пажња науци), а да развој астрономије у нашој земљи, практично, почиње 1926-е године, започињање серије окрића астероида само десет година након тог догађаја (1936), од стране српских научника, представља изванредан успех. Посебно ако узмемо у обзир да је Србија у то време била у веома тешкој геополитичкој ситуацији, јер се налазила између два светска рата. Последично, више пажње у овом раду, посвећено је српском астроному, Петру Ђурковићу, који је започео серију открића астероида, и тиме отворио ново поглавље у српској астрономији.

A model for the quasi 60 K plateau in the YBa2Cu3O6+x high-T-c compound

AB  - The 60 K plateau of the YBa2Cu3O6+x high-T-c superconducting compound has traditionally been known as a horizontal section in its T-c(x) characteristics within which the critical temperature maintains at a constant level T-c approximate to 60 K. However, recent experiments on a series of high quality single crystals samples of the YBa2Cu3O6+x compound (produced by improved techniques of sample preparation) have shown the 60 K plateau does not manifest itself anymore as a horizontal section of the T-c(x), but emerges as a section over which T-c(x) keeps on continuously rising (the quasi 60 K plateau). Here we propose a theoretical model that explains how the classical (horizontal) 60 K plateau naturally evolves into the quasi 60 K plateau, due to the improved orthorhombicity in the high quality single crystal material accompanied by longer CuO chains. The model assumes that short CuO chains do not contribute to the hole transfer from chains to CuO2 layers, but only chains whose length is greater than, or equal to, a certain threshold length l(cr). Our calculations point to a conclusion that this minimal number of oxygen atoms in a CuO chain, that is required to trigger the hole transfer, is equal to four. The calculated values for T-c(x) are in a very good correlation with the corresponding experimentally obtained results. (C) 2012 Elsevier B. V. All rights reserved.

AB  - A model has been proposed to calculate the p(x) and T-c(x) dependences in the Y1-b(Ca)(b)Ba2Cu3O6+x high-T-c cuprate family and applied to b = 0, b = 0.1, and b = 0.2 cases, for which experimental data exist in the literature. The results obtained imply that the Ca efficiency to provide holes is independent of the basal plane oxygen concentration, which is consistent with a view that electrons from CuO2 layers would go primarily to Ca since it is twice closer than oxygen (in addition, the chain oxygen is screened by a layer made up of Ba and O(4) ions). It is shown that, in fully oxygenized compounds (x = 1) the average efficiency, chi, of a chain oxygen to attract an electron from the two nearby layers is reduced by the Ca insertion, though not because the charge transfer mechanism is in itself weakened by Ca, but because a part of electrons that are otherwise available in CuO2 layers has already been removed by the substitution of Y3+ with Ca2+. It has been found that the b-dependence of the average oxygen doping efficiency can be fairly accurately described by the following relation: chi(b) = 0.39 x (1 - 0.786). The calculated p(x) and T-c(x) dependences are in very good agreement with the available experimental data. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Influence of Ortho-II structural phase on the 60 K plateau formation in YBa2Cu3O6+x

AB  - In the present study, we have employed two dimensional ASYNNNI model to investigate how the Ortho-II structure formation influences doping, p, of the superconducting CuO2 planes in YBa2Cu3O6+x high-T-c superconductor. It was shown, that if the direct repulsive interaction between next nearest oxygen atoms (V-3), present in the Hamiltonian of the ASYNNNI model, is neglected, the Ortho-II ordering is destroyed and doping p becomes a linearly increasing function of oxygen concentration x in the range 0.50 LT = x LT = 0.65, for any choice of critical chain length l(cr) (defined so that CuO chains of length l LT l(cr) cannot transfer holes to the CuO2 planes). Consequently, the T-c(x) dependence, obtained by the employment of the universal T-c vs. p relation, does not exhibit experimentally observed 60 K plateau. The results presented here confirm that establishment of Ortho-II structural phase is a key factor for the 60 K plateau formation in the T-c(x) dependence. (C) 2012 Elsevier B. V. AB  - A model for the chain-to-plane charge transfer is proposed to account for the two plateaus, at 60 K and at 90 K, of the T-c(x) characteristics of the YBa2Cu3O6+x high-T-c superconductor. It is assumed that the number of holes transferred from a CuO chain of length l to two nearby CuO2 sheets is proportional to l (that is, to the number of oxygen atoms in the chain), if the chain length is greater than, or equal to, a certain critical chain length, l(cr), that is required to trigger the charge transfer process. No holes are assumed to have been transferred from chains of length l LT l(cr). The calculated T-c(x) dependence is found to be in excellent agreement with the experimentally reported T-c(x). The critical chain length parameter is estimated to be equal to l(cr) = 11 (eleven oxygen atoms in a chain), which is a greater value than that obtained in the previously proposed model for the chain-to-plane charge transfer (l(cr) = 4). The results obtained out of the proposed model are briefly discussed.

AB  - Effect of the long term illumination of the YBa2Cu3O6+x with visible light or ultraviolet irradiation on its superconducting properties was studied in the frame of a simple theoretical model, which assumes that photodoping triggers rearrangement of oxygen monomers in the chain layers thus causing the enhancement of the average chain length, l(av). Since, according to the model of charge transfer mechanism, long CuO chains are better electronic hole donors than the short ones, increase of the average chain length induces additional holes transfer from chain layers to the superconducting CuO2 planes which in turn leads to the increase of the superconducting transition temperature T-c. By the use of the expression for the chain length probability distribution and numerically calculated values for the average chain length in the non-excited system, we were able to estimate the doping p (number of holes per one Cu atom in the superconducting CuO2 planes) and T-c enhancement due to photo-induced oxygen reordering. Effect of illumination on the superconducting transition temperature T-c in YBa2Cu3O6+x

AB  - In the present study, we have employed two dimensional ASYNNNI model and the numerical Monte Carlo simulations to investigate the effect of visible light or ultraviolet radiation on the doping p of the superconducting CuO2 planes, and consequently on the superconducting transition temperature T-c, in YBa2Cu3O6+x high-T-c superconductor. It was shown that, depending on the oxygen concentration, x, three regions of different critical temperatures T-c behavior could be distinguished. In the first region where x LT 0.6 the critical temperature increases rapidly with oxygen depletion, in the second region, 0.6 LT x LT 0.75, the total T-c change, delta T-c, is almost independent of the oxygen content thus forming some kind of plateau, while in the third region, 0.75 LT x LT 1.0, the T-c does not increase significantly. Such a theoretically obtained behavior of T-c is in general agreement with the experimentally established facts on the delta 7(c), vs. x dependence. (C) 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

AB  - We propose a model for the charge transfer mechanism in Y0.8(Ca)0.2Ba2Cu3O6+x to count the hole doping of CuO2 planes and the x dependence of the critical transition temperature Tc. The obtained results indicate that plateaus, coinciding with T(c)(x) = 0, emerge either when p(x) = 0 (p(x) approximate to const), in the region of OH phase formation (the 60 K plateau), or when p = 0.16, representing the optimal doping at x approximate to 0.91 in OII phase (the 90 K plateau). It has been shown that, when the statistics of CuO chain formation was described in terms of the two-dimensional asymmetric next-to-nearest neighbor Ising (ASYNNNI) model, at any constant temperature below the top of ortho-II phase there exists a uniquely defined value of critical chain length l(cr)(T) that yields a constant doping p(x) approximate to const over the regime of ortho-II phase (related to the 60 K plateau of T(c)(x)), while the 90 K plateau coincides with the monotonically increasing p(x) over the optimal doping level p = 0.16 in the regime of the ortho-I phase. Short length chains (l LT l(cr)(T)), together with the first l(cr)(T)-2 holes in longer chains (l GT = l(cr)(T)), are taken as not capable of attracting electrons from CuO(2) planes. It is shown that only a part (approximate to 41%) of the remaining l - l(cr)(T)+1 holes in the long chains can capture electrons. The results obtained indicate that the ASYNNNI model and two-plateau-like behavior of T(c)(x) in YBa(2)Cu(3)O(6+x) are closely connected.

Magnetic properties of asymmetric Co(II) dimer at low temperatures

AB  - Magnetic properties of the dinuclear cobalt complex [Co-2(ox)tpmc](ClO4)(2)center dot 3H(2)O have been studied from the magnetization data obtained in the high magnetic field-low temperature experiments (B LT = 20 T, 2.2 K LT = T LT = 29 K). An excellent agreement between experimental and calculated data for all experimental temperatures was achieved within the framework of the isolated Ning Co(II) pairs in the ground state, where each cobalt ion from the pair was situated in a differently distorted octahedral environment (asymmetric dimer). The obtained values for g-factors (g(a) and g(b)), and for the intracluster exchange integral J/k(B) = (-16.0 +/- 0.5) K confirm both the previous results on the crystal structure of the complex under consideration and the assumption on the strong antiferromagnetic coupling between cobalt ions realized by the superexchange interaction over the asymmetric oxalato bridge.

Cluster variation method investigation of photoinduced charge transfer in YBa2Cu3O6+x material

AB  - According to the charge transfer model of Kudinov et a]. the photoinduced enhancement of conductivity in YBa2Cu3O6+x material can be explained by the photoexcitation of electron-hole pairs, and the subsequent transfer of electrons to the oxygen deficient CuOx planes where they become trapped in the CuO chain fragments, while the holes remain free in the superconducting CUO2 planes contributing to the superconducting current. In this paper we have employed the numerical cluster variation method (CVM) and the recently established relation between chain probability distribution p(n) and the average chain length n(av), to calculate the number of electrons being captured in the unoccupied p orbitals of O- ions incorporated in the CuO chains, thus producing the free holes in the CUO2 planes. Our results support the standing that several processes make contribution to the effects of persistent photoconductivity and photoinduced superconductivity. (C) 2007 Elsevier B.V. In the case of ortho-II (OII) structural phase, the geometric chain probability distribution is shown to hold separately for each of two different sublattices of oxygen sites, commonly known as alpha(1), and alpha(2), with respectively defined l(av)(alpha 1)(x, T) and l(av)(alpha 2)(x, T). The theoretically derived result of the chain probability distribution p(l) is shown to be in a remarkable agreement with the results obtained out of extensive Monte Carlo calculations that were made within region of stability of orthorhombic structural phases in (x, 7) space. The relevance of chain length distribution for accurate count of the number of transferred electronic holes to superconducting CuO2 layers has been pointed out and expression for hole concentration has been derived. Cvm study of charge transfer in YBa2Cu3O6+x material

AB  - The number of positive holes transferred from the CuOx basal planes to the superconducting CuO2 planes of YBa2Cu3O6+x material was calculated as a function of oxygen content x, by the use of numerical cluster variation method (CVM). The calculations were performed for the set of three different temperatures and for the different values of the parameter ξl which represents the ratio of the number m of divalent oxygen ions in the chain fragment and the total number l of oxygen ions in the chain fragment. The obtained hole count versus x dependence showed no plateau behavior for low temperatures (t=0.25 and t=0.35) while for t=0.45 indication of plateau behavior is present.
