AB  - Geopolymers (GP) were successfully synthesized from metabentonite (MB), metadiatomite (MD) and metakaolinite (MK). Characterization of their phase structure and microstructure was performed by XRD, FTIR, SEM/EDX methods. A SEM micrograph of GPMD shows a homogeneous surface with some longitudinal cavities in the gel, and it is significantly different from the micrographs of the other two geopolymer samples, GPMB and GPMK. A considerable amount of unreacted particles, as well as the presence of pores in the geopolymer matrix of GPMK and GPMD, indicate an incomplete reaction in the system. Aluminosilicate inorganic polymers, geopolymers, are quasi solid electrolytes which possess a high electrical conductivity at room temperature in relation to materials of similar chemical composition. The highest conductivity was found for the sample obtained from GPMK, amounting to 2.14 × 10–2 Ω–1cm–1at 700 ºC. The corresponding activation energies of conductivity for this sample amounted to 0.33 eV in the temperature range of 500–700 ºC. The geopolymer synthesized from metakaolin has good ionic conductivity values, which recommends it for use as an alternative material for an SOFC (Solid Oxide Fuel Cell).

AB  - Cilj rada bio je istraživanje magnetnih karakteristika nanočestičnog feri-oksida α-Fe2O3 (hematita), u amorfnoj matrici silicijum-dioksida. Ispitivani uzorak nanokompozitnog feri-oksida dobijen je sol-gel metodom. Kristalna faza uzorka određena je pomoću difrakcije elektrona i X-zraka. Na osnovu TEM (transmisiona elektronska mikroskopija) snimaka utvrđena je veličina čestica. Ispitivanja magnetnih osobina uzorka obuhvatila su merenja DC magnetizacije i AC susceptibilnosti u opsegu temperatura od 2 K do 300 K i magnetnih polja od -5 T do 5 T. Merenja su urađena na SQUID magnetometru. Cilj je bio da se pokaže da je sol-gel metoda pogodna za sintezu nanočestičnog hematita i da se potvrdi nanočestično ponašanje ispitivanog uzorka. Utvrđeno je postojanje međučestičnih interakcija, kao i uticaj širine distribucije nanočestica na magnetne karakteristike nanokompozitnog uzorka α-Fe2O3. Magnetne karakteristike uzorka poređene su sa magnetnim karakteristikama drugih uzoraka nanočestičnog hematita i ukazano je na mogućnosti njegove primene.

AB  - U radu je dato istraživanje magnetnih karakteristika nanočestičnog ferioksida, γ-Fe2O3 (maghemita), koji ispoljava superparamagnetno ponašanje tj. superparamagnetizam. Uzorci nanočestičnog maghemita dobijeni su mehanohemijskom metodom. Kristalna struktura uzoraka ispitana je pomoću difrakcije elektrona i x-zraka i pokazano je da se radi o monofaznim uzorcima maghemita. Na osnovu TEM snimaka utvrđena je veličine čestica. Kod uzoraka nanočestičnog maghemita jasno se vide promene magnetnih osobina sa promenom veličine čestica što nam ukazuje na velike mogućnosti menjanja magnetnih osobina kod istog materijala sa promenom veličine čestica

AB  - The experiment described in this communication is a part of the scientific program „Investigations of physical aspects of electronuclear method of energy production and transmutation of radioactive waste of atomic energetic using relativistic beams from the JINR Synchrophasotron/Nuclotron“ - the project „Energy plus Transmutation“. The performing of the first experiment at deuteron beam with energy 2.52 GeV at the electronuclear setup which consists of Pb-target with U-blanket (206.4 kg of natural uranium) and transmutation samples and its preliminary results are described. The hermetic samples of isotopes of I-129, Np-237, Pu-238 and Pu-239 which are produced in atomic reactors and industry setups which use nuclear materials and nuclear technologies were irradiated in the field of electronuclear neutrons produced in the Pbtarget surrounded with the U-blanket setup “Energy plus transmutation”. The estimations of its transmutations (radioecological aspect) were obtained in result of measurements of gamma activities of these samples. The information about space-energy distribution of neutrons in the volume of the Pb-target and the U-blanket was obtained with help of sets of activation threshold detectors (Al, V, Cu, Co, Y, In, I, Ta, Au, W, Bi and other), solid state nuclear track detectors, He-3 neutron detectors and nuclear emulsions.
