AB  - In this paper we investigate the change of microtubule cylinders length in the presence of endogenous AC fields generated by the cell itself. The dynamics of microtubule is described on the basis of classical u(4) model. The average stretching is calculated by using Kubos formalism for linear response of system.

AB  - In this paper, we investigate the influence of endogenous d.c. and a.c. fields on the dynamics of microtubules in living cells. The dynamics of microtubules can be described by the adapted classical non-linear u(4) model convenient for systems with dipole-dipole interaction. It is demonstrated that, on the basis of this model, several properties of the dynamics of microtubules can be clarified.

Polaron-like features of the domain wall in a classical Ising chain with transverse field

AB  - The possibility of the creation of the bound state of a domain wall and surrounding lattice distortion was investigated in the framework of the one-dimensional Ising model with transverse field. It was found that the existence of such an entity is very sensitive to the mutual ratio of the basic physical parameters of the system. The authors obtain that, in the weak-coupling regime, such a 'dressed' excitation can arise in the so-called unadiabatic limit when the maximal photon energy greatly exceeds the nearest-neighbour exchange energy. In that case, the 'dressing' effect can significantly modify domain-wall properties, causing the increase of its effective mass and lowering of the ground-state energy, while the domain-wall velocity cannot exceed the speed of sound.

Relaxation of kinks in the Ising chain with a transverse field interacting with a three-dimensional phonon field

AB  - The influence of phonon fluctuations on the dynamics of kink-like domain-wall excitations in the one-dimensional Ising model with a transverse field (s=1/2) was investigated. This is the consequence of the emission and absorption of acoustic phonons excited by domain walls propagating through the vibrating lattice. The effective friction and diffusion constants are also evaluated. It was established that the overall process has the character of Cherenkov-type radiation.
