abstract = "The interaction of a pulsed TEA CO2 laser with nickel thin film, deposited on single crystalline silicon substrate, was studied. The results have shown that the high reflectivity nickel thin film was modified and partially removed if the laser energy density was 23 J/cm2. Experiment was conducted in multipulse laser irradiation regime. Modifications of thin nickel film in function of successive laser pulses, at constant pulse energy, can be summarized as: (i) thin film roughness and microcracking, (ii) partially exfoliation, (iii) locally substrate modification, and (iv) plasma appearance.",
