AB - The reinforcing effect of tungsten disulfide nanostructures in different polymer composites has already been proven, and poly(vinyl butyral), PVB, is among these polymers. In this research spectrophotometric properties, transmittance and diffuse reflection, were observed for thin film coatings of PVB on glass plates, made by solvent-casting technique, containing different concentrations of fullerene-like nanoparticles and multiwall nanotubes of WS2. The results obtained for thin film coatings on glass plates were measured within 380-1600 nm wavelength area. Both, diffuse reflection and transmittance were measured with UV/VIS/NIR spectrophotometer with an integrated sphere. The results showed that there is a possibility for application of these materials in the defense industry.
