AB  - This paper presents a study and comparison of surface effects induced by picosecond and nanosecond laser modification of a Ti6Al4V alloy surface under different ambient conditions: air and argon- and nitrogen-rich atmospheres. Detailed surface characterization was performed for all experimental conditions. Damage threshold fluences for picosecond and nanosecond laser irradiation in all three ambient conditions were determined. The observed surface features were a resolidified pool of molten material, craters, hydrodynamic effects and parallel periodic surface structures. Laser-induced periodic surface structures are formed by multi-mode-beam nanosecond laser action and picosecond laser action. Crown-like structures at crater rims are specific features for picosecond Nd:YAG laser action in argon-rich ambient conditions. Elemental analysis of the surfaces indicated nitride compound formation only in the nitrogen-rich ambient conditions. The constituents of the formed plasma were also investigated. Exploring the impact of process control parameters on output responses has been undertaken within the context of laser modification under different environmental conditions. Parametric optimization of the nanosecond laser modification was carried out by implementing an advanced method based on Taguchi’s parametric design and multivariate statistical techniques, and optimal settings are proposed for each atmosphere.

AB  - In sensor devices the material of choice should be highly dependent on perturbation of environmental parameters. In order to achieve good sensitivity and selectivity of sensing devices to temperature, humidity or concentration of different gasses, the materials with adjustable properties are highly desirable. Electric properties of graphene oxide (GO) can be easily tuned by modification of surface chemistry and anchoring of functional compounds onto its two-dimensional structure. Prior to application of sensing device, research and development of materials system is the most essential step. In this work, the formation of GO and GO/12-tungstophosphoric acid (WPA) films with 6 wt.% of WPA on interdigital electrodes was investigated by variation of dip-coating parameters (receding angle and time between steps). Obtained films were thermally reduced in argon atmosphere after which optical microscopy was used to evaluate morphology and stability of deposited GO and GO/WPA films. Impedance spectroscopy was used to investigate the electric properties of the obtained films in range from 10 Hz to 100 kHz. Measured impedance values were correlated to the degree of material detachment and deposition parameters i.e. films showing the lowest impedance values had the smallest area of detached film. Additionally, impedance values were measured depending on the environment temperature which showed that GO/WPA films exhibit the lowest impedance values and good sensitivity to changes of temperature making it good a candidate for sensing devices.

AB  - Solarni sistemi u poslednje vreme beleže esponencijalni rast instalisane snage. Ostvareni ekonomski efekti podstiču dalji razvoj tehnologije, tako da se postiže sve veća energetska efikasnost uz sve niža investiciona ulaganja. Države dodatno pomažu merama podsticaja, posebno u uslovima krize drugih energenata, tako da se očekuje još veći rast u budućnosti. U radu je dat pregled stanja tehnologije i regulative, kao i projekcije za budućnost u Evropi i Srbiji.
AB  - owadays,  solar  systems  have  recorded  in  an  exponential  increase  in  installed  power.  The achieved economic effects encourage further development of technology, so that increasing energy efficiency  have  been  achieved  with  lower  investments.  Countries  additionally  help  with  incentive measures,  especially  in  the  states  of  the  crisis  of  other  energy  sources,  thus  the  greater  growth  is expected in the future. The paper provides an overview of the state of technology and legal regula-tions, as well as projections for the future in Europe and Serbia.

AB  - Structural health monitoring that gathers information about performance and conditions of civil engineering structures requires implementation of sensor networks that include strain sensing devices. This paper introduces RuO2/Bi2Ru2O7 thick-film strain sensor with low-temperature sensitivity. Under strain, RuO2/Bi2Ru2O7 thick resistive film experiences reversible deformation that can be registered as a change in film resistivity. Based on that effect, a prototype of the strain sensor is being realized and evaluated. Evaluation included measurements of the resistance change under applied strain, determination of the gage factor and investigations of and thermal stability.

AB  - Razvoj novih i unapređenje postojećih elektronskih komponenti koje doprinose smanjenju po-trošnje električne energije pogoduju prelasku sa tradicionalnih na obnovljive izvore energije i doprinoseenergetskoj efikasnosti. Debeloslojni otpornici su pasivne komponente koje se sve više kor-iste  u  pametnim  energetski  štedljivim  kućnim  uređjima,  LED  osvetljenju,  upravljanju  klima uređajima, električnim trotinetima, sistemima za upravljanje baterijama itd. Zbog toga će u ovom radu biti reči o uticaju parametara sinterovanja na formiranje strukture najčešće korišćenih debe-loslojnih otpornika na bazi Bi2Ru2O7slojne otpornosti 10 kΩ/☐.
AB  - Development  of  new  and  improvement  of  existing  energy-saving  electronic  components  are supporting transition from traditional to renewable energy sources and contributing to energy effi-ciency.  Thick-film resistors are passive components that are often being used in energy-saving smart home appliances, LED lighting, air conditioning management, electric scooters, battery management systemsetc. For these reasons, this paper will deal with optimization of 10 kΩ/sq Bi2Ru2O7thick-film resistors sintering parameters.

Kultura rukovanja podacima – zaboravljeni aspekt integracije obnovljivih izvora električne energije

AB  - Trenutni trendovi poput digitalizacije, digitalne transformacije, industrije 4.0 i sličnog, koji su karakteristika savremenog društva u celini, nametnuli su svet podataka kao imperativ svih sfera ljudskog delovanja. U vrlo kratkom vremenskom roku probijene su sve ranije pretpostavljane barijere u trenutnoj količini podataka koja je u opticaju na globalnom nivou i koja se trenutno meri u desetinama zetabajta sa tendencijom kontinuiranog uvećanja u godinama koje slede. Trend povećanja količine podataka može se zabeležiti na svim nivoima, bez obzira da li posmatramo neki manji, lokalizovani uzorak, regionalni uzorak, ili, kao što je već navedeno, posmatramo globalni digitalni svet. Čak i ako nivo posmatranja svedemo na pojedinačnu instancu, gotovo da nema slučaja u kome ne možemo identifikovati neko povećanje količine podataka. Proporcionalno povećanju količine podataka, uvećala se i potrebna energija koju na različitim nivoima treba obezbediti za neku preduzetu radnju nad tim podacima, bilo da se radi o samom kreiranju tih podataka, skladištenju istih, nekoj vrsti obrade, umnožavanju ili nekoj drugoj adekvatnoj vrsti radnje nad tim podacima. Procenjuje se da već nekoliko procenata celokupne svetske proizvodnje električne energije odlazi na segment obezbeđenja neophodnih uslova za izvršenje neke od radnji nad podacima. U skladu sa tim, mnogi veliki centri za rukovanje podacima parcijalno ili u celosti prelaze na sisteme zasnovane na upotrebi obnovljivih izvora električne energije. Iako je taj transfer doneo niz prednosti i dalje postoji problem ekspanzije podataka na jednom dugoročnijem planu koji nova energetska rešenja treba da isprate. U radu će se pokazati kako se jednim racionalnijim rukovanjem podacima na različitim nivoima upotrebe može stvoriti daleko povoljnije energetsko okruženje na globalnom nivou i kako to okruženje može doprineti jednoj održivosti trenutno primenjenih rešenja koji se tiču upotrebe obnovljivih izvora električne energije u različitim segmentima upotrebe i rada sa podacima u modernom okruženju.
AB  - Current trends such as digitalization, digital transformation, Industry 4.0 and the like, which are characteristic of modern society as a whole, have imposed the world of data as an imperative of all spheres of human activity. In a very short period of time, all previously assumed barriers in the current amount of data in circulation at the global level, which is currently measured in tens of zettabytes with a tendency to continuously increase in the years to come, have been exceeded. Even if we reduce the level of observation to a single instance, there is almost no case in which we cannot identify any increase in the amount of data. In proportion to the increase in the amount of data, the required energy that needs to be provided at different levels for any action taken on this data has increased, whether it is the creation of this data, its storage, some processing, replication or some other adequate type of action. It is estimated that already few percents of the entire world production of electricity go to the segment of providing the necessary conditions for the performance of some of the work on data. Accordingly, many large data centers are partially or completely switching to systems based on the use of renewable energy sources. Although this transfer has brought a number of advantages, there is still the problem of data expansion in a long-term plan that new energy solutions need to follow. The paper will show how a more rational data handling at different levels of use can create a far more favorable energy environment at the global level and how this environment can contribute to the sustainability of currently applied solutions for renewable energy in different segments of use and work with data in a modern environment.

Implementation of anti-covid measures in university educational process taking advantage of thermal imaging approach

AB  - By returning to the classical forms of teaching and attendance of classes in the faculty facilities, appropriate anti-covid measures have been introduced. One of those measures is the regular check of the students' temperature before accessing any form of teaching in the faculty classrooms. However, serious issues soon are manifested by measuring temperature with conventional non-contact thermometers. The paper shows how some of these issues and limitations can be overcome by using thermal imaging when controlling the temperature within anti-covid measures.

AB  - Thermal properties of acrylate-based composite combined with alumina-based particles were investigated. The composites were made of poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) modified with dimethyl itaconate (DMI) as a matrix. Neat alumina particles (Al2O3) and alumina doped with iron oxide (Al2O3-Fe) modified with 3-aminopropyl-trimethoxylane (AM) and flax oil fatty acid methyl esters (biodiesel - BD) were used as reinforcement. Thermal conductivity measurements showed that composite with alumina particles with the highest alpha phase content had the highest thermal conductivity values. Mechanical properties (tensile strength, modulus of elasticity and elongation at break) were improved by the addition of modified alumina particles to PMMA/DMI matrix. The thermal properties are the most improved for composite with 3 wt.% Al2O3-Fe-AM particles that had the lowest temperature in a crack zone was noticed (10.28 %) compared to PMMA added due to the better stiffness and highest thermal conductivity.

AB  - Aluminijum oksid (Al2O3) je keramički materijal koji ima izuzetna mehanička, fizička i hemijska svojstva. Zbog svojih izuzetnih hemijskih svojstava, aluminijum oksid se koristi u kompozitima kao ojačanje i kao materijali za primenu u visokim temperaturama. U kompozitnim materijalima od posebnog interesa su različite strukture aluminijum oksida koje se mogu dobiti termičkom obradom. Cilj ovog rada bio je da se napravi kompozitni materijal sa matricom od PMMA itakonatnog kopolimera i da se ispitaju termička svojstva, u zavisnosti od dodavanja različitih punioca sa modifikacijom površine. Modul elastičnosti i čvrstoća PMMA se smanjuju dodavanjem itakonata u matricu. Čestice na bazi aluminijum oksida sa površinom modifikovanom sa organosilanom – 3-aminopropil-trimetoksilanom (AM) i u drugom stupnju sa metil estrima masnih kiselina lanenog ulja (biodizel-BD) korišćene su kao ojačanja. Čestice sa površinskom modifikacijom uspostavljaju bolju vezu sa polimernom matricom putem kovalentnih i vodoničnih veza i dipol-dipol interakcija. Efikasnim dispergovanjem čestica u matrici se postiže i poboljšan prenos opterećenja kroz matricu koji je praćem putem termovizijske kamere. Termogrami tokom testa na zatezanje ukazuju na razlike u temperaturama koje se javljaju u zoni loma kompozitnih materijala. Temperatura u zoni loma je u uskoj vezi sa efikasnošću prenosa opterećenja i temperaturne provodljivosti samog materijala. Mehanička svojstva materijala se poboljšavaju dodavanjem neorganskih čestica na bazi alminijum oksida sa aktiviranom površinom i na taj način stvoriti novi kompozitni materijal sa poboljšanjim mehaničkim i termičkim svojstava.
AB  - Aluminum oxide (Al2O3) is a ceramic material that has exceptional mechanical, physical and chemical properties. Due to its extraordinary chemical properties, aluminum oxide is used in composites as reinforcement and as material in high temperature applications. In composite materials of particular interest are different structures of aluminum oxide, which can be obtained by thermal treatment. The aim of this article was to make a composite material with a matrix made from PMMA itaconate copolymer and to examine the thermal properties, depending on the addition of various fillers with surface modification. Modulus of elasticity and the strengths of PMMA are in decrease by adding the itaconate to the matrix. Aluminum oxide based particles were used as reinforcement with a modified organosilane-3-aminopropyl-trimethoxylane (AM) surface and in the second stage with fatty acid fatty acid methyl esters (biodiesel-BD). Surface modification particles establish a better bond with the polymer matrix through covalent and hydrogen bonds and dipol-dipole interactions. Efficient dispersion of particles in the matrix also improves the transmission of the load through the matrix, which is followed by a thermionic camera. Thermograms during tensile test indicate differences in temperatures occurring in the fracture zone of composite materials. The temperature in the fracture zone is closely related to the efficiency of the load transfer and the temperature conductivity of the material itself. The mechanical properties of the material are improved by adding inorganic particles based on the activated surface of aluminum oxide, thereby creating a new composite material with improved mechanical and thermal properties.
