AB - The unbound proton-rich nuclei 16F and 15F are investigated experimentally and theoretically. Several experiments using the resonant elastic scattering method were performed at GANIL with radioactive beams to determine the properties of the low lying states of these nuclei. Strong asymmetry between 16F–16N and 15F–15C mirror nuclei is observed. The strength of the nucleon- nucleon effective interaction involving the loosely bound proton in the s1 / 2 orbit is significantly modified with respect to their mirror nuclei 16N and 15C. The reduction of the effective interaction is estimated by calculating the interaction energies with a schematic zero-range force. It is found that, after correcting for the effects due to changes in the radial distribution of the single-particle wave functions, the mirror symmetry of the n- p interaction is preserved between 16F and 16N, while a difference of 63% is measured between the p- p versus n- n interactions in the second excited state of 15F and 15C nuclei. Several explanations are proposed. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Società Italiana di Fisica and Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

AB - We report here the first direct lifetime measurement of the 2(1)(+) state in Zn-72,Zn-74. The neutron-rich beam was produced by in-flight fragmentation of Ge-76 at the Grand Accelerateur National dIons Lourds and separated with the LISE spectrometer. The 2(1)(+) state was excited by inelastic scattering and knock-out reaction on a CD2 target and its lifetime was measured by the recoil-distance Doppler-shift method with the Koln plunger device combined with the EXOGAM detectors. The lifetimes of the 2(1)(+) states in Zn-72,Zn-74 were determined to be 17.9(18) and 27.0(24) ps, which correspond to reduced transition probabilities B(E2; 2(1)(+)- GT 0(+)) = 385(39) and 370(33) e(2) fm(4), respectively. These values support the idea of a systematic maximum of collectivity at N = 42 for Zn, Ge, and Se nuclei. In addition, the available systematics in the neighboring nuclei point toward a transition from a spherical oscillator at N = 40 to complete gamma-softness at N = 42.

AB - The level structures of the N = 50 As-83, Ge-82, and Ga-81 isotones have been investigated by means of multi-nucleon transfer reactions. A first experiment was performed with the CLARA PRISMA setup to identify these nuclei. A second experiment was carried out with the GASP array in order to deduce the gamma-ray coincidence information. The results obtained on the high-spin states of such nuclei are used to test the stability of the N = 50 shell closure in the region of Ni-78 (Z = 28). The comparison of the experimental level schemes with the shell-model calculations yields an N = 50 energy gap value of 4.7(3) MeV at Z = 28. This value, in a good agreement with the prediction of the finite-range liquid-drop model as well as with the recent large-scale shell model calculations, does not support a weakening of the N = 50 shell gap down to Z = 28. abstract = "The level structures of the N = 50 As-83, Ge-82, and Ga-81 isotones have been investigated by means of multi-nucleon transfer reactions.
