dc.description.abstract | The self-similar evolution of weak and strong Langmuir collapse is studied by two-dimensional simulation of a soliton instability. The simulation is based on Zakharovs model of magnetized strong turbulence including ion dynamics. For the parameters considered, consistency with self-similar weak collapse regimes is found with no evidence of a strong Langmuir collapse. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. | en |
