dc.description.abstractResults, conclusions of research, and autors contribution to the understanding of mechanical and failure behaviour of carbon/epoxy composites have been reviewed. Results of the study of macromechanical static characteristics, nonlinear elastic behaviour, flexural modulus and shear properties of unidirectional composites as well as of tensile, compression and flexural moduli, strength analysis, edge and hybrid effects of multidirectional composites have been discussed. Autors statements concerning nonlinear elastic behaviour of UDC, flexural modulus of both UD and MDC, strength analysis and edge effects in laminate are emphesized.en
