Current activities of siting wind power assessment in Republic of Serbia
Апстракт
Modeling wind conditions with standard linear models such as WAsP does not sufficiently reproduce wind conditions in such complex terrain, especially on leeward sides of terrain slopes. A more complex model, based on Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations and modified two-equation k-ε turbulence model for neutral atmospheric boundary layer conditions, written in general curve-linear non-orthogonal coordinate system, has been used. The sets of full conservation equations are numerically solved by Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) technique. Siting of mezzo and micro models of the most attractive mountain locations in Serbia has been investigated. Siting of Crni Vrh and Kostolac (Drmno) are presented by details.
